The Ressurection From The Dead!

As we start this undertaking, all that is asked is to keep an open mind to what is about to be said. We, as carnal human beings, have a mind that is subject to presumption, in other words, that which encourages belief without proof. And God, our Father, wants us to prove all things.
The presumption we have believed is that we have to die to go to heaven. Another presumption is, we cannot be like Jesus, or we cannot be holy as Jesus was, and is.
Most of the presumption about having to die to go to heaven stems from Jesus himself having to die, and then accending up into heaven to set on the right hand of God the Father. This was his calling, his job, his glory, but its not our calling! Yes, alot of the things he done we will have to do also but on the other hand, we, as kings and priests unto God, have been given another calling pertaining to God’s order.
We, because of who, and what we are, could never accomplish what Jesus did, because of our sin nature. We could not have died for the sins of the world because that was Jesus’ job, his calling. But by what he did, we can do something he cannot do, and that is, take part in what he died for! My purpose is different than your purpose, but it will be done in Christ, or according to God’s word.
What Jesus did was to make it possible for us to “take off” the old man of sin and “put on” the new man who is holy and spotless before God. The old man has a name, and his name is Adam-male and female, created after the working of Satan. The name of the new man we’re putting on is called Christ, created after our heavenly, holy Father, God, and this is going to be done, “through” Christ.
The old man is a “living soul”,( 1 Corinthians|15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.) the second man will be a “quickening Spirit”. The old man is a carnal being, not capable of comprehending; holiness, righteousness, godliness, life, death, joy, sorrow, pain, health, carnality, or himself. But on the other hand once there has been a conversion in the heart, it then is possible for us to obtain eternal life through the knowledge of Jesus Christ and God the Father.(2 Peter|1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Peter|1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
2 Peter|1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us “all things” that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2 Peter|1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.)
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
So Jesus has just told us what eternal life is, and he didn’t say that there had to be a funeral. There will be a death, but instead of it being a real quick thing, it will be a gradual process as we obtain the truth, and as we walk in that truth we will come out of death. The one thing demanded of God is that it has to be a total transformation. We have to become sinless, which means no sin at all in our life. The reason for that is there is a law, and that law tells us, the wages of sin is death, and the soul that sinneth, it shall surely die, but on the other hand, if we be found “in Christ”, keeping the commandments of Jesus, death has no power. The law of God tells us, death and the curse only have power where there is sin. Death and the curse has no power where there is holiness.
Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 1:9 that the law of sin and death was not made for the person who is going to keep the law, but the law was made for the person who is going to brake the law.
(1 Timothy|1:9
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1 Timothy|1:10
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1 Timothy|1:11
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.)
Paul also tells us in Romans 8:1&2 that if your in Christ, or keeping his commandments, walking in holiness, there is therefore now no condemnation, but if your still sinning, your still under the law of sin and death. The next verse tells us,
Romans 8:2, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death. So with the knowledge of the two laws and that God does not allow sin in his Kingdom we must go on into perfection, laying aside every weight and sin with Jesus as our example. This is a two part-process. It’s not enough to “take off” sin, we must “put on” righteousness, and this process is called “the resurrection from the dead”.
We will start in 1 Corinthians 15:51-56. Paul tells us that he is going to show us a mystery, or, the answer to a mystery. We shall not all sleep, or die, but we shall all be changed. Now, the next part of this mystery deals with what is a spiritual moment, and a spiritual twinkling of an eye, and what is the sounding of a spiritual trumpet, the last spiritual trumpet.
The scriptures are where we’re going to look for the keys of understanding of these signs.
2Corinthians 4:17 speaks of a spiritual moment and it tells us; For our light affection, which is but for a moment, this span of time is our life time in this scripture.
The last trump-
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God “should be finished”, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.
Jesus fulfilled this A.D.1. So we are living in the days of the last trump, and it has already been sounded and the mystery of God is being revealed to his people.
So it tells us 1 Corinthians|15:53
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians|15:54
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
This scripture is not talking about Jesus. Jesus never was corrupt. This scripture is talking about you and me, and how we must” take off” the old man and “put on” the new man and after this is done we will be able to say, death is swallowed up in victory, just as Jesus did. This was his whole purpose in doing what he did, that we might be partakers of God’s divine nature, and be heirs, and join-heirs with Christ,
There is an understanding we must come to, and that understanding is that part of the book of revelation has already been fulfilled.
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. Revelation|12:4
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. Revelation|12:5
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. Revelation|12:6
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more “in heaven.” Revelation|12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now” is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation|12:12
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman(the woman is the church in the earth) which brought forth the man child.
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Revelation|12:15
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. Revelation|12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. Revelation|12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (This is what Jesus did at A.D.1)
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, (1 A.D. Jesus made a prophecy saying, two days shall my body lay in the earth, but on the third day I will raise it up. Using the one day as a thousand years, the first day would be the year A.D.1-1000. The second day would be A.D.1000-A.D.2000, and the time between A.D.2000 and A.D.3000 would be the time he would raise up his body “The Church” in the earth.)

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. ( Loosed 1000 A.D.)
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation|20:5
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. ( The second death is death as we know it. The first death is the resurrection from the dead through applying the truth to our lives and becoming sinless and holy.)
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation|20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
So we see here another presumption and that is that this thousand years that Satan is to be bound has been seen as some where in the future but it happened almost two-thousand years ago when Christ died on the cross.
There is a statement made in 1 Peter four talking about what Jesus did when he died on the cross, and that was to go preach to the dead that they might hear the gospel and live “in the Spirit” as men in the flesh, or, as you and me.
1 Peter|4:6
For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh ,but live according to God in the spirit.
So with this understanding, we can go on into what Paul writes about the “Mortifying” therefore our members.

1 Corinthians|15:56 The sting of death———————— is sin; and the strength of sin—————— is the law.

No sin=no death
Christ( Doing the Word) has delivered me from the curse of the law.
For there is no respect of persons with God.
(1)For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law:(2) and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; Romans|2:13
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
For when the Gentiles,(3)(Me and you!) which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.(Paul’s gospel.)(That day is happening now.)
So we have three groups of people
.(1) Them without law
.(2) Them who sin “in the law”. And
(3) Them who have not the law but “do” the things contained in the law, have become a “law unto themselves”, their conscience bearing witness(Baptism of the Father, its not the putting away of the filth of the flesh but a good conscience toward God. Believing what God has said and acting upon it, or, faith!)
1 Peter|3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter|3:16
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evil doers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
1 Peter|3:17
For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
1 Peter|3:18
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Peter|3:19
By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison
( they are dead)
1 Peter|3:20
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (Christ in you the hope of Glory!)
1 Peter|3:22
Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

“Mortify”therefore your members-(A Commandment to die to sin)
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Colossians|3:2
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians|3:3
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Mortify(Make alive!)) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: (If your sinning, this is for you.)
Colossians 3:7
In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. Colossians|3:8
But now ye also “put off” all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have “put off” the old man with his deeds;
And have (Past-tense) “put on” the new man, which is renewed( Renewed how?) in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Colossians|3:11
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Colossians|3:12
“Put on” therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Colossians|3:14
And above all these things “put on” charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And “let” the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
“Let” the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians|3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father “by” him .
Romans 8:13-14 speaks about mortifying or dying to the flesh and how it also deals with being led of the Spirit.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do “mortify” the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (No funeral!) Romans|8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Ephesians chapters 4&5 also bears witness to the putting-on and taking-off that has to take place in us in our regeneration process.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God(How?) through the ignorance that is in them, “because” of the blindness of their heart:
Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
But ye have not so learned Christ;

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
That ye “put off” concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye “put on” the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Wherefore “putting away” lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Be ye angry,(We can be angry sometimes, God lets us.) and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Neither give place to the devil.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians|4:29
“Let no” corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians|4:30
And “grieve not the holy Spirit of God”, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
“Let all” bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, “be put away” from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
“Be ye therefore followers of God”, as dear children;
And walk in love, (We do that by keeping Christ’s commandments!) as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. Ephesians|5:3
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
“Let no man deceive you with vain words”: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. (The wrath of God comes in the form of; sickness, pain, sorrow, death, torment, etc. The curse of the law Deut.28, Lev.19) Ephesians|5:7
“Be not ye therefore partakers with them”.
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Ephesians|5:10
“Proving” what is acceptable unto the Lord.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

1 Thessalonians|4:13
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 1 Thessalonians|4:14
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (In the Holy Ghost!)
1 Thessalonians|4:15
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Thessalonians|4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians|4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians|4:18
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians|5:1
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. (What had been said in chapter 4 is dealing with our spiritual growth in Christ in his body, and is talking about the Day of the Lord that comes upon them that are living in darkness,) 1 Thessalonians|5:2
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1 Thessalonians|5:3
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1 Thessalonians|5:4
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1 Thessalonians|5:5
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thessalonians|5:6
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1 Thessalonians|5:7
For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1 Thessalonians|5:8
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, “putting on” the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thessalonians|5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Thessalonians|5:10
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

So we see that this passage of scripture is pertaining to a warning and an understanding of the resurrection of the dead. The dead here are spoken of in two contexts. In one the dead are in Christ, and in the other context, the dead are in darkness not having any understanding and walking in darkness and the Day Of The Lord over takes them as a thief in the night.

2 Peter|1:1
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us(How did they get it?) through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Peter|1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you( How is it going to be multiplied back to you?) “through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” 2 Peter|1:3
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,(How?) “through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”:
2 Peter|1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: “that by these”(Precious promises) ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having “escaped” the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter|1:5
And beside this, giving all diligence, “add to your faith” virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2 Peter|1:6
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2 Peter|1:7
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 2 Peter|1:8
For “if” these things be in you, “and abound”,(Or if these things be in you and working.) they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter|1:9
“But he that lacketh these things “is blind”, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 2 Peter|1:10
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 2 Peter|1:11
For so “an entrance” shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not your liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians|5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
But if ye bite and devour one another, “take heed” that ye be not consumed one of another.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians|5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Now the works (Or, the fruit of a bad tree.)Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ’s” have(Past-tense) crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
1 John|3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not,(Why?) “because” it knew him not.
1 John|3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 John|3:3
And every man that hath this hope in him(Does what?) purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 John|3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. The law of Moses and of Christ!)
1 John|3:5
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 John|3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not:(Note-sinneth not!) whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1 John|3:7
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1 John|3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John|3:9
Whosoever is born of God- doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,(Why?) because he is born of God. 1 John|3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:(Here’s how you know the children of God, and the children of the devil.) whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1 John|3:11
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
