WE Are To Think Like Jesus!

We Are To Think Like Jesus!

Philippians 2:1-11 Authorized King James 1611 Verison
2 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; “but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves”.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (We are not to make ourselves a reputation!)
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(We have been called to be sons of God, join heirs with Christ, and overcomers of the lusts and pride of this world. If we do not think that we can be equal with God, we cannot be his sons and daughters of God by faith. God’s plan works by faith of Jesus Christ in us, and we now live not by our faith, but the faith that is of Jesus Christ. If we do not think like Jesus Christ, we cannot do the works that Jesus said we world do. In Romans 5:1 we have a statement that says:
Romans 5:1-7
King James Version (KJV)
5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
(We are now justified by faith! Because we believe that Jesus Christ died for our sin, we now have “peace with God” through Him and we stand in a place called “grace,” or protection where God applies Psalms 91 to our life because we accepted Jesus Christ into our life and asked Him to be Lord and King!)
2 “By whom also” we have access”by faith” into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
(We go from faith to faith, and glory to glory even by the Spirit of the Lord. The faith and glory comes through tribulations and we must remember that the Old Man of sin must die, and the New Man of holiness and righteousness must live . We must take-off one, and put-on the other by the commandments of Jesus Christ!)
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
(We are sinners because of the sin of Adam and we were born sinners, and we were conceived in iniquity, (lust) by our mothers. The unregenerated man, cannot know God except through the Holy Ghost.. Only by the”regeneration” can man know God. He must “take-off” the Old Man of sin that is led by his lust and pride, and we must “put-on” the New Man who is holy and righteous, created after God his Father through Jesus Christ.)
Psalms 51:5
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.)
Romans 5:con’t)
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

1 Peter 4
King James Version (KJV)
4 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, “arm yourselves likewise with the same mind”: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh “to the lusts of men”, but to the will of God.

Psalms 91 (Jesus also believed this! We are to believe this also!)
Psalm 91
King James Version (KJV)
91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely “he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence”.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 “Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked”.
9 “Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling”.
11 “””For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”””””
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. (Satan!)
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. (Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!)
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

About robertebarger

I am 68 years young and am a believer in Jesus Christ as the scriptures teaches. I was saved, and recieved the Holy Ghost when I was twelve years old, but when I turned thirty-five years old my world fell apart and I called out WHY GOD? The Lord lead me to start reading the Bible, (King James Verison 1611) and He showed me as I studied in the Word of God, this is why, this is why, this is why. From that time on I was studying the word of God sometimes ten and twelve hours a day plus praying and fasting. Love God, writing, Photography, Music, guitar, people, science, travel, teaching the word of God, life!
