Psalms|82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are
children of the most High.
John|10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John|10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John|10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
John|10:30 I and my Father are one.
John|10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
John|10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
John|10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
John|10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John|10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
John|10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
John|10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
John|10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Philippians|2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Philippians|2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be “equal with God”:
Who Is Israel? Natural
Who Is Israel? Spiritual
Who Is Israel? Natural
As we study the Bible, we see that God has used the natural Israel of Old Testament as an example to show us what sin is. When Jesus came into the world, his life walking in the Spirit condemned the life of the natural Israelite.
John|15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
John|15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
John|15:23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
John|15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
John|15:25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
John|15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John|15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
It was ordained of God that the Israelites reject Jesus that the prophecy out of the Old Testament might be fulfilled that they hated me without a cause.
In the book of Hebrews we are told the reason why God has forsaken natural Israel. The reason is their unbelief, they refused to believe God. Why did they refuse to believe God? God had hardened their heart that they could not believe. He hardened their heart that everybody in New Testament might have a chance to come in, both Jews and Gentiles.
Hebrews|4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
Hebrews|4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Hebrews|4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Hebrews|4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Hebrews|4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Hebrews|4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Hebrews|4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Hebrews|4:8 For if Jesus (Joshus) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Hebrews|4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Hebrews|4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Hebrews|4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Verse six tells us that they could not enter in because of unbelief and warns us that if we do not believe we will not enter in ourselves!
The natural Israel was blinded in part to what God was doing long term. He did not allow them to see into the Spirit and see what we see today through the Holy Ghost. All they had was the letter of the law to live by which could not give them the promise of eternal life, but it did help them to live every day with one another if they chose to obey it.
John|12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
John|12:38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be
fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
John|12:39 Therefore they could not believe, (Why?) because that Esaias said again,
John|12:40 He (God!) hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, “and be converted”, and I should “heal” them.
John|12:41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Paul in Romans 11 explains natural Israel’s place in God’s plan and how they were cut off because of their unbelief. Even unto this day they walk in unbelief. On the same token, if we do not believe “all” the gospel, we to will be cut off.
When Jesus went and preached to them that are dead, He preached to them that He had died for their sins and explained to them that they had been blinded by God to serve His purpose. God wanted to write a book that them who are born after Jesus Christ lived might has a written history of the children of Israel in the future, that we might learn from their mistakes. By God blinding them to the truth of the Spirit, Jesus offered them “Eternal life in the Spirit” if they chose to live by it even through they were dead.
Romans|11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. (The election are them that believe.)
Romans|11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
Romans|11:9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompense unto them:
Romans|11:10 Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
Romans|11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, (Us who believe today, we are Gentiles.) (Why?) for to provoke them to jealousy.
Romans|11:12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? (What was their fall? The riches of the world. And what was their demise? The riches of the Gentiles.)
Romans|11:12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
Romans|11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Romans|11:14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. (Might save some of the natural Israelites, Jews!)
Romans|11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Romans|11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
Romans|11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Romans|11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Romans|11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
Romans|11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Romans|11:21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Romans|11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, “if “ thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Romans|11:23 And they also, (Natural Israel!) if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
Romans|11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
Romans|11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Romans|11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (Jacob means rebellion)
Romans|11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Romans|11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.
Romans|11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Romans|11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Romans|11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. (Even so have “these”, natural Israelites who do not believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and King, will receive mercy through our preaching the Gospel if they receive Him.)
Romans|11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. (For all have sinned!)
Romans|11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Romans|11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Romans|11:35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
Romans|11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are “all” things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
( Is there anything that is not under Jesus’ control? No, not even Satan!)
Scriptures on Christ preaching to the spirits in prison and Christ preaching to the dead.
1 Peter|3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Peter|3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1 Peter|3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
1 Peter|3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter|3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
1 Peter|4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
(The next verse is the mind of Christ on this matter.)
1 Peter|4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1 Peter|4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
1 Peter|4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
1 Peter|4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
1 Peter|4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
In the next scripture “circumcision” is to be holy and righteous. “Uncircuncision” is to be unholy and unrighteous. It is also natural Israel and the Gentiles.
Romans|2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
Romans|2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision (Gentiles) keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
Romans|2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
Romans|2:28 For he is not a Jew, (natural Israel) which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Romans|2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
The wonderings of the children of Israel in the Old Testament were to show us what sin is, and as we read the Old Testament we are to be warned by what they did and how God punished them for their sin.
1 Corinthians|10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1 Corinthians|10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1 Corinthians|10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1 Corinthians|10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1 Corinthians|10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
1 Corinthians|10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1 Corinthians|10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1 Corinthians|10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1 Corinthians|10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1 Corinthians|10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1 Corinthians|10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: (examples) and they are written for our admonition, (Warning!) upon whom the ends of the world are come.
The children of Israel who live today cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven unless they are born again of the Holy Ghost, the water, and the Spirit. (The water is the Word of God and the Spirit is the Spirit of God!)
John|3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
John|3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
John|3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot “see” the kingdom of God. (You need the Holy Ghost to see the kingdom of God.)
John|3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
John|3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of “water” and of the “Spirit”, he cannot “enter” into the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians|12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
It tells us here that we cannot call Jesus Lord without the Holy Ghost. Accepting Jesus with a pure repentant heart and believing, is the only way you can receive the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost is given to you as a gift from God because you accepted God’s Son Jesus as your Saviour.
The Spiritual Israel
John|1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Matthew|3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Matthew|3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Matthew|3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Matthew|3:10 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Matthew|3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Matthew|3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Mark|1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
Luke|3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Luke|3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Luke|3:9 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Luke|3:10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
Luke|3:11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
Luke|3:12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
Luke|3:13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
Luke|3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
John|14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
John|14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? (Through keeping His commandments)
John|14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John|14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
John|14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
John|14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John|14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John|14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John|14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
John|14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
John|14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
John|14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
All these scriptures tell us that Jesus told us about the Holy Ghost and what the Holy Ghost would do once we received it. If someone does not have the Holy Ghost they can learn about God, but they can never “know” God. All they can learn by their own understanding is information, they will never be set free because they will not receive truth, and it takes “truth” to be set free.
Romans|1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans|1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The gospel of Christ is “the power of God” that brings us to salvation. We do not receive all that God has all at once, but we grow a little at a time as we press into the Word of God, we go from faith to faith. As we study we take off a little of the old man of sin and put on a little at a time the New Man that has received the truth and been set free and now is alive in the Spirit because of that truth.
If a man loves me he will keep my commandments. This is the key to entering the kingdom of God and receiving love from God. This is also how we “know” that we love God and one another.
1 John|5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1 John|5:2 By this “we know” (By the Spirit!) that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. (So how do we “know” that we love the children of God? When we love God and keep His commandments!)
1 John|5:3 For this is the love of God, (What is the Love of God?) that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (Let me explain. God is Love that manifests Himself through His Word. His Word is His Son. His Son is the “Judge” of the Quick (Quickened) and the dead. Not after you die but right now. If you maintain a pure heart and are growing in the Lord you are blessed by God through Jesus Christ, but if your still a sinner and don’t keep His commandments and your heart is not pure, Jesus judges you now but in His time.)
1 John|5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John|5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John|5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1 John|5:7 For there are three that bear record
“in heaven”, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three “are one”.
1 John|5:8 And there are three that bear witness
“in earth”, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: “and these three agree in one”.
1 John|5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
1 John|5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: If you believe on the Son of God you have the witness “in you”. (This is why natural Israel today isn’t part of the body of Christ, they have called God a liar!) he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1 John|5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1 John|5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1 John|5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye “may know” that ye have eternal life, and that ye “may believe” on the name of the Son of God.
1 John|5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1 John|5:15 And if ‘we know” that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, “we know” that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Revelation|14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Revelation|14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: (Are these peoples dead on the earth? No they are alive but they have died to their lusts and pride and the works they are doing are the manifestation of Christ in them in the earth.) Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Galatians|5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians|5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be
circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. (The word circumcised here again means to be a natural Israelite, Jew, trying to keep the Old Testament law by the letter with out the Spirit. You are trying to do it by “your works” not Christ’s works! This also means to be in the “flesh” and “carnal” and it also means to be circumcised in your body.)
Galatians|5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Galatians|5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Galatians|5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Galatians|5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians|5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Galatians|5:8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
Galatians|5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Galatians|5:10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
Galatians|5:11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
Galatians|5:12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
Galatians|5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Galatians|5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Galatians|5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Galatians|5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Galatians|5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: (The word lusteth here also means to war against. This is important to know because of the thoughts and feelings that we have can come from two places, either from God or Satan, and we have to learn how to discern which one they are coming from.)
so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians|5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Galatians|5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Galatians|5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Galatians|5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (What if we do all but one, can we still inherit the kingdom? No!)
Galatians|5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Galatians|5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians|5:24 “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
Galatians|5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians|5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Romans|8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (But if your walking in the flesh, there is condemnation!)
Romans|8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
(If we keep Jesus’ commandment we will walk in the Spirit, but if we do not know His commandments or don’t walk in His commandments we are under the law of sin and death. If we are new in the Lord, we are in His grace until we grow up into Him, but we must grow up!)
Romans|8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Or condemned sin in me!)
Romans|8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans|8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Romans|8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans|8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: (At war!) for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans|8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans|8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Natural Israel cannot claim this promise!)
Romans|8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Romans|8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Romans|8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Romans|8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Romans|8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
The carnal mind is in the Gentiles and natural Israelites who have not believed in Jesus Christ. They cannot walk in the Spirit if they do not believe. They are under the curse of the law because only Christ can set you free from the law of sin and death.
Romans|8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (What has made me free from the law of sin and death? The law of the Spirit of life “in” Christ Jesus!)
Romans|8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Romans|8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Isaiah|29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
