WHY WE ARE SINNERS!
The scriptures tell us that all have sinned. What does than mean?
It means that we were born that way. When God put Adam and Eve in the
Garden, he knew that they would sin. This had to take place that we
would be born and have a chance at being saved. Our nature is to
follow our lust. As you study the book of Romans Paul explains it. We
are born with no knowledge of God or his ways and our mind is not
spiritual but carnal. We are lead by three things: The lust of the
eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Anything we see and
want, we work to get it. Money, cars, things, cool stuff. Anything our
flesh wants, we feed it. Food, drink, drugs, sex, another persons
love. We are proud of who we are. We have so much pride that we would
die for it. We lust after power over other people. Gangs, government,
religion. All these things are lusts that war in our members. In our
own understanding we could never work this out in mans wisdom, but
this is why Jesus died so that we might know the truth about “what we
are.” We are sinners by nature. Not able in our own-selves to be holy
and righteous like God. Jesus said in John 3
John|3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned “already’, because he hath not believed in
the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John|3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, (Jesus’ life!) and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil.
Notice verse 18 the would already. But he that believeth not is
condemned “ALREADY”! Why is he comdemned? because its in his nature.
In his D. N. A.!
It tells us in Ephesians 4
Ephesians|4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye
henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their
Ephesians|4:18 Having the understanding darkened, “being alienated
from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of
the blindness of their heart:”
Ephesians|4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over
unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Ephesians|4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
Ephesians|4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been
taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Ephesians|4:22 That ye “put off” concerning the former conversation
the old man, (Old nature!) which is corrupt according to the deceitful
Ephesians|4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Ephesians|4:24 And that ye “put on the new man”, which after God is
created in righteousness and true holiness.
So we are to take off the old man and put on the new man that is
that is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Before we can do that we must “Repent”, which means to change the
way you believe, and as you make your mind up to do that, and study
your bible, you will see that we need the Holy Ghost to reveal things
to us. (John 14) When you receive the Holy Ghost you will
receive”power” to become a son of God.
John|1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John|1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the
flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
When we receive Jesus as Saviour, this is just the beginning, we
must become perfect as God.
Matthew|5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in
heaven is perfect.
You say this is impossible. No it isn’t, but few there be that will
be willing. This is why God worked it into his plan, to allow for
failures. When we fall, we can ask forgiveness and get up and we are
back in his grace.
1 John|1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us.
1 John|1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John|1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar,
and his word is not in us.
1 John|2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye
sin not. And if any man sin, “we have an advocate with the Father”,
Jesus Christ the righteous:
1 John|2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for
ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John|2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his
1 John|2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his
commandments, “is a liar’, and the truth is not in him.
1 John|2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, “in him verily is the love
of God perfected’: hereby know we that we are in him.
We need to see also that Satan has spoke to our mind and caused us
to sin on top of sin. We need to learn how to resist him. We need to
know what he can do to us, and what he cannot do. Remember! There is
no power but of God, and the powers that be are or ordained of God!
