The Works Of The Flesh Galatians 5:13-26
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s “have” crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
(God in His word has defined what the meaning of some words are, for example: To murder someone, according to scripture is to hate them.
To commit idolatry is to commit covetousness.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, (Or, lust) which is idolatry: The scriptures used to define adultery are taken from scripture not mans dictionary!)
In the Bible in the new testament we are told that we are sinners. The question is, Why? The reason that we are sinners not so much that we are sinners, but it is because Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, and because Adam sinned in the garden, his sin caused God to case Adam out of the garden and all of the children that was to be born out of his seed. That seed is us. We were born sinners because of Adam.
God knew that Adam would eat of the tree that he told him not to eat of because it was how God planned for us to come into His Kingdom. Jesus said, in John 3:18 He that beliveth is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned “ALREADY” because he has not believed God’s Word. The scripture goes on to show us what the condemnation is against us. That Light has come into the world. That Light is the life of Jesus Christ and His relationship with the Father. It goes on to say that Men love darkness rather than Light. That darkness is caused by Satan sending demons that has power to hide Light from us to see the truth, and Jesus said that is we study God’s Word we would see the truth and the truth word “make us free”. Free from what? the demons that has liaded to us through our thought prosess.
We were born at war with God through the nature we have in us created after the working of Satan. Jesus said that Satan was a liar and the Father of it. We got the way we are through Satans lies that we were born with and we build upon that lie.
The things that the flesh will do is in our nature so we cannot do right no matter how hard we try. That is the reason that we need to be born again by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Jesus Christ that gave His life for our sins. This is explained in the Bible as we read it by the Holy Ghost. To be able to receive the Holy Ghost we must ask God to forgive us for our sin. This means that we are willing to do what ever God asks us to do to please Him. We also must have a pure heart to “see” by the Spirit. If we do not have a pure heart, God will let us believe a lie.
In the scripture God also shows us that when Christ has done His full work in us the nature of God will “show” in everything that we do. If we choose not to serve and worship God, He also tells us that these bad things will happen to us and our children and our grand-children.
God created all things, even Satan to try us to see if we love the Lord our God with all our heart, or we love ourself or the world more than Him.
In Romans chapter eight it explains the the carnal mind and the manifestation of the carnal man. You will only be able to see it if God allows you too!
7 They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away (Divorce) his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away (divorce) his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, “causeth her” to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. ( A man cannot divorce his wife unless she has committed fornication.)
14 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.
4 For John said unto him, “It is not lawful for thee to have her”.
5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
6 But when Herod’s birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.
7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.
8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist’s head in a charger.
9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
19 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away (Divorce) his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning”it was not so”.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, “except it be for fornication”, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, 1)which were so born from their mother’s womb: 2)and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: 3)and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
10 And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
2 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away (divorce) his wife? tempting him.
3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 “And they twain shall be one flesh”: so then they are no more twain, “but one flesh”.
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.
11 And he saith unto them, “Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her”.
12 And if a woman shall put away (divorce) her husband, and be married to another, “she committeth adultery”.
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
7 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband “is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth”; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, “she be married to another man”, “she shall be called an adulteress”: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
1 Corinthians 7:1-16
7 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8 I say therefore to “the unmarried” and “widows”, it is good for them if they abide even as I. (Single, not married!)
9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. (Talking to the unmarried and widows!)
10 And unto “the married” I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, “let her remain unmarried” or” be reconciled to her husband”: and let not the husband put away his wife.
12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

King James Version (KJV)
4 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, “revellings”, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
